1. How accurate are these writings? How does point of view affect these accounts?
2. What can we tell about Islamic and Chinese civilizations from these writings. Do the authors' opinions and attitudes match those of the society from which they hail?
3. What global context do these explorers define?

Snow Break Reading!

So, if you're like me, you've gotten to the point that the snow has left you stranded and a bit bored. Given the density of reading you will have when we return (due to the lost time), you should go ahead and get a bit under your belt. Remember, for our test (which will be pushed back to Thursday), AP World should read through Ch. 5 and Honors should read both of the first two units. That means we will have two or three days to go through all the classical civilizations. That's not much time, so get ahead on your reading!
